Opinion

Even though I didn't watch the Oscars last night or see more than one of the nominated films (Little Miss Sunshine), I still put my two cents in whenever I could today:

"Reese Witherspoon is my new fashion idol." Seriously, her hair? It's my new goal in life.

"Jennifer Hudson sucks, I don't like her." I don't like rags to riches stories. Not that she used to be poor because I don't really know anything about her, but she was on American Idol and that's bad enough. And she's not as good as people are making it seem. Do you know how many shows I've seen her on where she doesn't hit the correct notes? And I hate musicals where they sing everything. Yuck! (No, I haven't seen Dreamgirls.)

"I don't know if I'll watch them on TiVo when I get home...Brad Pitt was a no-show." I was hoping for some audience shots of my boo*. I fast-forwarded through it when I got home from work slowing down to take in m back-up boos, Clive Owen, George Clooney, and Leonardo Dicaprio**.

"That's the Oscar I'm going to win." Best Adapted Screenplay

I did buy Babel the other day, but haven't watched it yet. I know I'll like it, that's a given. I am still a little sad Brad Pitt wasn't there. I wish I could say it was because he was busy adopting me. Heh heh, adopting...

XO,
SVR

*That's for you, Senor Beavis.
**Not a conclusive list.

Interesting. I didn't think Leo DiCrapio would be your (backup) cup of tea?

i wasn't crazy about reese's hair, even though i do love her and her dress was great. i didn't like jennifer hudson on ai but she's kinda growing on me! i haven't seen dreamgirls, either, but she and beyonce and the other girl gave a great performance of the three nominated songs from the movie. babel was great, you will love it. highlight of the night for me: adorable kate winslet and her gorgeous dress.

The Oscars were pretty boring this year. But that may be because I didn't see any of the movies. And none of them are ones I'm dying to see either.

I like Jennifer Hudson because she's a Chi-town girl. She also sang the shit out of those nominated songs and blew Beyonce out of the water.

I still think Angelina told Brad he couldn't go. I say that only because she looked so, so unhappy at the Globes.

Ant- Um, Romeo and Juliet.

Rooroo- I stopped and listened to the Dreamgirls song on XM today...I do NOT like it. It's annoying and has no melody.

Kristabella- Yeah, I only saw one of them.

K- :) We'd have a Woody Allen type of relationship (ew.)

Needtzsa- Just send me a shot or two by the due date that fulfills the theme of GREEN. Depending on the entries I'll either have blind judges or will put it up for voting online. Email me your entries: sendmemail@gmail.com

tk- I'll tell Ant;)

I saw 4 of the 5 movies nominated for best picture and look forward to Oscar night all year - the Oscar's were boring.

I liked a few scenes in Babel and the scenery of Morocco was beautiful, but overall, wasn't a great movie.
