Today has been an odd kind of day. I didn't work, but have felt sort of busy all day still. I got up relatively early and went to breakfast with my mom, then headed to IKEA in Woodbridge. I own a lot of things so I require many shelves to put them on. So today I headed out with the mission of buying shelves to put my things on. The part I had not thought out very well is that my car is kind of small while many of the shelves I wanted are not. I went through the showroom and wrote down the aisles of where to find the things I wanted, but once I got down there and saw the actual length of some of those boxes I realized I had to change my tactics. I ended up with 5 different kinds of shelves. Now, I know that sounds like a lot of shelves and also like a lot of money, but it's not. Some are ones I will be using in my new "walk-in closet" and others are shorter type shelves. It should help with getting things organized, though.
What I also had not thought about was how much some of these shelves weigh. One style was vetoed merely because I could not lift the box. I got two of this one kind, but they were stacked kind of high and I couldn't help but imagine them falling on me and me having to yell out, "I'VE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP!"
