Winner Of The
The Grammys 2009:
+Whitney Houston- Seriously? I sorta hate her. And why is she showing leg? stop.
+Is The Rock trying to pull a Joaquin Phoenix by giving up 'acting' for stand up?
+Mr. JT=<3 (Oh man, he's singing. Please record another album.)
+Coldplay is the new Dave Matthews Band. They're talented, of course, but they're getting the follow- (OMG JAY Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) -ing where people think they're the best thing ever. And they are not. I still like them, but I also know what else is out there. As long as you don't act like they're the greatest ever, we will be fine.
+Does Keith Urban somehow have an Australian/Country accent?
+I'm so bored.
+Any award Radiohead is up for...they should win!
+Taylor Swift is all "Look at me, bitch. I can play an instrument!" Oh didn't they both date Jonas boys?
+I like that Robert Plant/Allison Krauss song, actually. All the old people will be having a boner for it now again, though.
+Not a Jennifer Hudson fan. She's going to make me cry, though.
+Stevie Wonder ate Daft Punk!
+I still have a crush on Tom Delonge. I had the black and white poster of him with the lip ring. Holy hell. Love.
+Oh! A category I care about...Best Rock Album: Coldplay? I thought they said rock. Hehe Just kidding. I'm just bitter The Raconteurs didn't win.
+A lot of my crushes are at The Grammys. Craig Ferguson!
+Kenny Chesney? WHY!?
+Natalie Cole is thisclose to having a wardrobe malfunction.
+Record Of The Year: *snore* what happened?
+Queen Latifah really wants Chicago 2 to happen, eh?
+M.I.A. deserves an award of some kind for performing on her due date.
+you can pay for school, but you can't buy class!
+T.I. must be sad. 366 days in jail coming up mighty soon!
+TIME FOR DAVE GROHL!!!!!!!
+I know where Dave Grohl's house is. That is all.
+All I can think about is Jack Black, tied to a tree, talking about blow jobs.
+Male Pop Vocal: John Mayer! I have a crush on him, too. I want him to talk to TMZ about our love affair. He can leave the Borat suit at home...
+Ladies Love Cool James!
+I can see why people like Sugarland. That was a neat song.
+Gwyneth Paltrow! Love her. She's so cute. And what an awesome dress.
+RADIOHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+I was in marching band! I've never said that with excitement until now;)
+Great...and now I can never erase this off my Tivo. Fucking A Radiohead kicks ass!
+Good job, Grammys. The only way to follow up Radiohead is with Justin Timberlake hottness.
+I feel like this is a good night for classical musicians. First you get straight up brass backing up Radiohead and now there's a string section accompanying JT and T.I. I'm lovin' it! (But where are the clarinets?)
+BB King? Love him. Oh my, playing with John Mayer-yum.
+Looooove New Orleans music.
+Best Rap Album: I want Jay Z, of course. But Lil' Wayne is okay, too:) But he smokes lots of pot so I hope they don't take his award away and threaten to arrest him. RIDICULOUS!
+Robert Plant and Allison Kraus- Hope this is the song I like. (it is!) Dude on the guitar is super cool. I love music where I feel like I'm sitting in on a jam-like session. Like I shouldn't be hearing what's going on.
+I would like a wind machine on me daily.
+I also kinda want a corset top now. Not in a weird goth way.
+Someone at work asked me, "Who are these guys?" I said, "Um, he's like, really well known in rock and she's a bluegrass chick." Awkward.
+Bille Joe Armstrong and I have the same birthday (17 FEB!)
+ALBUM OF THE YEAR OH I HOPE IT'S RADIOHEAD!!!!!!! (Johnny Greenwood!) Fuck. Not Radiohead.:( (Although, I'm okay with Robert Plant/Allison Krauss winning because I think it's a good album and different.)

Transport Is Arranged
Did you hear about the tragic story of the 18-wheeler falling off the Bay Bridge on Sunday? Here is a picture of it Ali and I took on our way across. We got stuck in about two hours of traffic waiting to cross, but who can complain when someone died. The goosebump worthy thought is that we had planned on leaving two hours earlier.

Stop Breathing
I know they wouldn't let someone die on national tv, but it is freaking me the eff out to watch David Blaine hold his breath for over a minute while under water, which is the longest I have ever held mine*. Thankfully, I am watching a rerun of Oprah and just checked online to make sure nothing scary happened. Right now he is at 15 minutes with no oxygen and the doctor on set is saying how he is in a lot of pain and his diaphragm is "going crazy".
Holy hell he just came above water after holding his breath for 17 minutes!!!!!!! Dude, and he's just chillin' now. And talking.
I remember years ago when I saw one of his street magic specials on tv and thought he was so cool. I still do...except I am not a fan of his weirder, more random stunts like when he was in a glass box for 2 months or something. I like it when he's super intense and "levitates" or does creepy street magic.
I'm glad he got the record.

More Lists Or You Won't Get Anything:
SVR
- I tried to blog some pictures earlier, but it wouldn't work and I wasn't about to sit there and try for the 4th time. Go look at my flickr.
- People who steal shit suck at life. Unless you're Winona Ryder because I really liked Little Women and Edward Scissorhands.
- I kind of want to read Chelsea Handler's new book.
- Anyone agree that Grey's Anatomy is going for the gross out award? I didn't really like the contest.
- My TiVo didn't get America's Next Top Model last night so I watched parts of it on YouTube today while at Pantera uploading pics. I won't spoil it for people who haven't seen it, but I wasn't happy with the decision.
- 48 Hour Film Project in DC is quickly approaching...anyone else participating?
- I almost bought a yellow shirt yesterday. SO unlike me.
- I had a weird/funny dream last night.
- I bought Zyrtec today since what I had been taking wasn't doing it's job. We shall see.
- The mind is a terrible thing.
- My car is being towed tomorrow to get fixed. My rental car gets 24 miles to the gallon-UGH! My car is much better and I miss it.

Unfair
I hate to use the word fair. I think as an argument it crumbles faster than a poorly-built sandcastle. Maybe it can be blamed on the many episodes of The Practice, LA Law, and Law & Order I've watched, but there's a small part of me that thinks like a lawyer who is trying to create a solid case. I am deliberate in what I say and do 99% of the time so for me to utter the word "fair" when trying to make a case in my favor would be childish.
Sometimes, though, I really want to scream like a five year old, "THAT IS NOT FAIR!" because there are times when really, it's just not. These times usually coincide when I have other things on my mind and can't be bothered to think rationally or am tired and can't find the energy to create a sentence much more complex than, "That is not fair."
I was talking with someone yesterday about a situation that is just...not fair and as we cited the reasons why, we kept coming back to "It's just not fair." It was like the emotional exclamation about the situation. Fair Schmair.

Stare
I tried to go on a photo field trip today around Fauquier County, but during my drive down Spring Road it started raining. No, pouring. It lightened and then stopped as I got to Main Street in Warrenton, so I parallel parked and began to walk around, forcing myself to try to see things different so I would get some good shots.
Then it started raining again.
So now I am in Pantera Bread trying quite unsuccessfully to upload my pictures via their free wireless connection. It is not working very well and I'm about to give up and head home. Why is it so difficult for me to get pictures online?!
