Fashion

Heidi Klum and Seal- They annoy me. Her voice annoys me. The red dress is pretty. The hair leaves something to be desired...

George Clooney- Is hott. And lucky because he just gets hotter and hotter. I always wonder what someone like Heidi Klum will be like in about 15 years. Will we even know who she is then? Do we care? Bad example. George Clooney is so charming. I love that about him. I also like that he makes jokes and isn't afraid of being a little un-pc.

Patrick Dempsey- Is McHott.

Anne Hathaway- I like her dress. Love red and it looks great with her hair and complexion. BUT, try to look more natural. I know you have to pose for the cameras, but maybe practice in front of the mirror. (Am I channeling Tyra?!) Note: She's redeeming herself in her E! interview. Good job, Anne.

Saiurse Ronan- I had wanted to see Atonement before the Oscars, but never got around to it. I will, though! She came with her dad-that's adorable. Her hair is a bit severe. Aw, she's cute, though.

James McAvoy- "He's a Scot." Yeah, I know! Yum! Oh he's such a cutie. And that accent. I'm a sucker.

Kelly Preston- I love love love the color of her dress. Such a hott yellow.

Miley Cyrus- Love her!!!! Gorgeous dress.

Jennifer Garner- I love how she runs from the umbrella. Haha. She rules. OMG and Gary Busey is drunk and hugging her. "That was nice." "Where is Ben?" (Exactly, WHERE IS HE I LOVE HIM!) Her dress is pretty. She can do no wrong in my mind. Pretty hair, too.

Jessica Alba- *snore* I don't care that she's pregnant. She's boring. I do like the color of her dress, though. I also like the braids in her hair.

Amy Adams- I haven't seen Enchanted. I like the color of her dress, but am not sure about the cut up top. I also think she should have done something a bit more daring, but that's just me...otherwise people are going to keep asking her about The Office.

Kristin Chenowith- DoNotCare

Keri Russell- Ali loves her so I do, too. I've forgiven her for cutting her hair and even though I haven't seen August Rush (but will because I love JRM) I loved Waitress. Oh, and Felicity.

Jennifer Hudson- Go away. Thanks.

Cameron Diaz- Pretty hair and dress. She always looks good and to be honest, I am never sure if I like her or not. She dated Mr. JT so props for that.

Hilary Swank- Vom. Can't stand her.

Katherine Heigl- Love red, but I am not a fan of the hair. I'm also still annoyed she said Knocked Up was sexist.

Renee Zellweger- EAT. Also, bad hair. Really bad.

Cate Blanchett- I love her! Great dress. She can do no wrong, also.

Racing Like A Pro

I haven't really blogged in awhile. I don't even have the crappy laptop/internet excuse anymore. I guess it's because lately life has been super busy and I kept thinking I needed to get everything into a nice, neat paragraph when really I should have done bullets all along. In list form is always better...

  • Someone at work the other day said we should have a "Women's History Month" display. I refrained from asking when Men's History Month is for fear of the typical "that's every month" response, but I did accidentally say out loud, "just don't put any feminist books on there." Well, one of the older women sort of freaked out and it was too early in the morning to explain what I meant. I just think it's a fall back to put up Betty Friedan books when a better display would involve books and works by really good authors who just happen to be female. AND the display should have cookbooks, and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and books about chicks doing things typically thought to be for males only. Wouldn't that be a better display?
  • I am going to try to be more positive about spring. I still love winter above any other season, but since I am in the minority, I am going to try to find things to be okay with these warmer months. One thing I can't put up with are allergies, which is the main reason I don't like spring. But I do know I am one of the few who get more energized when it is cold and dreary out so I look forward* to it warming up because everyone will be getting out of their winter hibernation moods.
  • Why is Drew Barrymore on Vogue?
  • Why do people buy the following: K.D. Lang, Sarah Brightman, Amy Whinehouse, Chris Botti??
  • So the Oscars are on tomorrow. I just hope No Country For Old Men and Javier B. win.
  • And why is Tori Spelling on People!? Slow week? Is it 1991?? She could be pregnant with triplets and I wouldn't care.
  • I have a spy operation planned for work. It began the other day. I will give more details when I can.

SVR

Plans

OK, so Saturday night is planned and Friday night is on it's way, but what about the rest of the week leading up until my birthday? It's not just a BirthDAY, but a BirthWEEK!

Sunday 10 Feb: Probably just relaxing before a BIG week. Maybe I'll do some laundry.
Monday 11 Feb:
Tuesday 12 Feb:
Wednesday 13 Feb:
Thursday 14 Feb: Valentine's Day. Everyone will tell me they love me. I will also have candy hearts to give out. I love those.
Friday 15 Feb: cupcakes at work and going out that night.
Saturday 16 Feb: Thai and a bar. And I'll be the princess all effing night.

SUNDAY 17 Feb!!!!!!!!! The Big Day!!!!

Okay, but as you can see, I have nothing planned for some of those days. Help! What are some fun, little things we can do? Have you seen that Gilmore Girls episode when it's Lorelai's birthday and leading up to the party with the World's Biggest Pizza they do fun things like Double Feature Tuesday and other fun, random things? That's what I'm thinking. Mainly just fun things to lead up to the extra special weekend.

The Party Of Special Things To Do

So my birthday is just over a week away, but the celebrating, and planning for the celebrations, have already commenced. Yesterday I made a large purchase that is currently en route and today I made plans to get a haircut in a couple of weeks. Earlier today I emailed a bit with Serena about plans for the 16th, which is the main celebrating day for my turning 28. (Note: My actual birthday is the 17th and don't forget it.) We only need to decide on timing for dinner and need to email the masses with the schedule and all is set. This birthday is going to rule. As all birthdays do.

Themes for this birthday:

Japanese*

Anchors**

XO,
SVR

*No anime. Those who bring anime to my birthday will be shot and/or asked to leave.
**The themes are not related....but, I guess they can be if you want.
