I had a roommate in college who wore the most insanely padded push up bras. She would always lay out her clothes for the day ahead and at first I would wonder what small person was hiding under her clothes until I realized it was her bra making the enormous bumps. And she was a pretty petite person.
What I could never comprehend was what happened when she got it on with her boyfriend...and let me tell you, I know first-freaking-hand that they got it on a lot. Hold on while I cry from the memory of waking up to the sounds of them having sex. So all day long her boyfriend is thinking, "YEAH! My girl has huge tits! I'm the luckiest guy in the world!" and then hanky panky time would come around and she'd take off her bra and he would feel like he had vertigo because he couldn't find what he had just seen.
Please explain.
Holly Madison, from Holly's World, was saying that she used to stuff her bra (pre implants, of course), but it backfired because she got a boyfriend and she couldn't let him touch her boobs for months because she had to slowly stuff her bra less and less.
This thought/memory came to me earlier today because I was thinking about how much I loathe summer. I always feel gorgeous in the winter, but in the summer it sure is hit or miss. How can sweating be pretty? How is frizzy hair nice? I feel like summer is my padded push up bra. It's not the real me.

Water & A Seat
I went to the pool today to read for awhile. Nothing beats reading while dangling your legs in the pool.

Bring It All Down
- I have to wear all of my summery dresses this week because once Labor Day has come and gone, it's straight into Fall for me. Not that I'm a "No White After Labor Day" believer, but I like to think that if I start living like it's Fall, then Fall will come sooner.
- So the Olympics are just about over. I can't believe the last sport they showed on TV was men's volleyball. Was that aimed at me? Because add that to my list of sports that should never be on network TV. Good Lord!
- I had really good Thai food last night. Seafood drunken noodles. I was going to get something new, but mis amigas said the drunken noodles were really good there. They did not lie. And have I mentioned I love scallops?
- I actually really like the United Airlines commercials because of their use of Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue...however, where is the amazing clarinet beginning? Tsktsk.
- Today I wore a dress with leggings. No one saw me since I just relaxed at home, but I have to say it's one of the most comfortable things I've ever worn. I <3>
- Track and Field would get more respect from me if they didn't look like they were wearing more makeup than me when they run their races. And hair down? Just seems wrong-like when you see swimming footage from 20 years ago and they're not wearing swim caps.
- I've got plans. Big plans.
- I'm going to the Redskins game on Thursday!!!! I can't wait to heckle.
- I'd love a beer right now.
- Speaking of football.
- Yummmmm

Everything In Its Right Place
When there are certain things you hate, like Sousa marches and hot weather, it is amazingly refreshing to have a moment where their first cousins combine to create what can only be described as perfection. After an intense orchestra rehearsal that began with me going through the motions and ended with me ready and willing to play beyond our 930pm stop time, I headed outside to head home.
Dvorak's New World Symphony was still occupying my brain as I checked my phone for new texts and saw the first droplet of rain plop down on my phone. I may loathe summertime because of the intense heat, but oh how I love its nights when it's both warm and cool at the same time. Tonight there was a breeze and I wished to be sitting on a porch at the beach. Then the rain started plopping down with a higher frequency and, despite my hair getting wet, I slowed down to enjoy it. There's something so great about cool rain when it's warm.
Then I got to my car, only to be welcomed by the song I had been listening to just two and a half hours earlier: Radiohead's "Motion Picture Soundtrack".....I think you're crazy...
Talk about perfection.
